One of the most critical concerns for when you go on a date is how to ensure that your partner does not get bored. To achieve an exciting and fun filled date at night or during the day requires that you make the occasion memorable. It does not have to be all about money and food or the things you engage in. Sometimes all that really counts is the kind of things you and your partner will talk about that will make for an unforgettable experience. The situation becomes even more complicated when it is your first date with your partner so you really have to make an impression.
The first thing you should not is that you should avoid talking about things that will cause an argument or conflicting opinions that have to be defended. The question “What’s something I wouldn’t guess about you?” is one that inspires shyness out of her while at the same time gives her an opportunity to present herself as an interesting person to you. Seeing that she actually responds positively to this question is a straight indication that she will be thinking about you even after the date. This will inspire a smile at that moment and perhaps even some blushing.
Seek to find out what she was as a child. Also corny but very flattering because this question gives her the impression that you want to know her at personal level. People are most vulnerable when they are young so tapping into this stage of the life of an individual makes them want to open up and connect with you. If you really want that date to be the first among many, seek to establish a connection with her. You may also want to find out whether she had nicknames growing up just to make her feel shy and ticklish.
To achieve a smooth conversation, it is okay to admit that you are a little nervous. Whilst this might appear like a stupid thing to do for a stand up and self motivated guy, it actually makes her feel you. By making this known, you actually give her the impression that she has just as much control of the date as you do because she’ll definitely be shy with you. It will also give her the perception that you are both on the spotlight and that it is not just about you trying to know her, but both of you trying to know more about each other and connect.
Ask about what they do, for instance if she is working, ask what she does and how she feels about it. Choose your words correctly and definitely limit talking about your ex. In doing so, you will be giving her the green light that you are moving on and are not hanging on to the past.
Make sure that you do not spill your guts in the sense that you should not be found short for words. You want her to know that she is with a man who knows what he is doing. Finding yourself in a long awkward moment or running out of air can be a turn off especially for the first date. However, do not one up them in that you make them feel like they will just talk while you listen. If you do this, all she will be thinking about after you go home is how much of a sissy you were.
